The 2020 Hyundai Sonata has been redesigned for the new model year. Likewise, many of its features have been updated and upgraded. Today, we’ll look at what tech comes standard on each Sonata model.
For instance, does the 2020 Hyundai Sonata have remote start?
Features are separated by trims. For example, the base 2020 Hyundai Sonata SE has Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, but remote start isn’t available until the SEL trim. The Sonata comes in four trims: SE, SEL, SEL Plus, and Limited. Standard features on the SE trim include the aforementioned Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth capability, an 8-inch touchscreen, and one USB charging and input port. The SEL spices things up a bit with proximity keyless entry, HD and satellite radio, Blue Link remote services, and remote start. SEL Plus upgrades the analog gauge cluster to a 12.3-inch digital cluster and adds wireless device charging. The Limited trim gets even more features, including an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a 10.25-inch touchscreen, integrated navigation, a 12-speaker Bose audio system, and Digital Key, which lets you use your Android smartphone like a key fob.
The 2020 Sonata SE comes packed with safety features. Two major features include forward collision warning with pedestrian detection and automatic emergency braking, as well as lane departure warning with lane-keep and lane-tracing assist. Adaptive cruise control, driver attention monitoring, and a rearview camera are also standard. The SEL trim adds blind-spot monitoring. The SEL Plus doesn’t add any new safety features, however Limited gets multiple new ones. The top-tier trim adds reverse automatic braking, remote parking assist, front and rear parking sensors, a blind spot camera, a surround-view parking camera system, and a heads-up display.
