There are two powertrain offerings for the 2021 Hyundai Tucson. The SE and Value trims both have a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine the pumps out 161 horsepower and 150 lb-ft of torque. This engine gets 23/28/25 mpg on FWD models and 22/25/23 mpg on AWD models. The other engine is a 2.4-liter four-cylinder that produces 181 horsepower and 175 lb-ft of torque. It is standard on the SEL, Sport, Limited, and Ultimate trims. FWD models with this engine get 22/28/25 mpg and AWD models get 21/26/23 mpg.
The 2021 Tucson has a comprehensive safety suite, even on the base trims. Standard features include forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, driver drowsiness monitoring, lane keep assist, and a rearview camera. Multiple driver aides are available. Blind spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are added on the Value trim. The Limited trim gets a surround-view parking camera system. Adaptive cruise control and pedestrian detection round out the Ultimate trim.
Each 2021 Tucson comes with everything you need for an engaging commute. Standard smartphone integration includes Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and Bluetooth, all of which is controlled via a 7-inch touchscreen. Two USB ports are standard, as is a six-speaker stereo. There are some great additional features available, like satellite and HD radio, a wireless smartphone charger, an eight-speaker Infinity stereo with Clari-Fi, Hyundai Blue Link, and an 8-inch touchscreen.
