While crossover SUVs continue to grow in popularity, newer models continue to build upon some past designs. Recently, we’ve seen the introduction of all-new models such as the Hyundai Kona, which offer a new take on the crossover driving experience. That’s why we wanted to talk about and take a look at the differences between the 2019 Hyundai Kona vs the 2019 Nissan Rogue Sport.
While it’s clear to see that a lot of time and detail went into designing both the inside and out of the new Kona, an equal amount of time was put into making it drive well out on the roads. In fact, the new 2019 Hyundai Kona offers better fuel efficiency and power than the Rogue Sport. The standard Kona has a fuel economy rating of 27 city/33 highway/30 combined mpg, as well as a 147-horsepower, 2.0-liter MPI Atkinson engine standard and a 175-horsepower, 1.6-liter Turbo GDI engine available in later trims.

While it might seem that a less expensive model such as the Kona would be light on features and technology on the surface, that is far from the truth. In fact, even the standard Kona SE model offers a 7-inch touchscreen display infotainment system with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with other conveniences such as the Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist system and the rear view monitor with parking guidance feature.
