The Hyundai Venue may look small but this crossover-SUV boasts big style! From the front to the rear, the sleek lines and striking fascias will stop people in their tracks to get a second look. Plus, it comes jam-packed with modern features from technology to comfort and convenience as well as a host of safety features and driver aids. Entering into the 2021 model year, the Venue is relatively unchanged. That is far from a bad thing, it actually means that the previous model was so great they couldn’t find anything major to update! There are three trim levels offered in the Venue lineup. The base SE trim level starts the lineup off with standard features like a 4-speaker sound system, 16-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, automatic headlights, an 8-inch touchscreen display, and Apple and Android smartphone integration. The upper two trims build on that with features like larger wheels, a 6-speaker sound system, an additional USB port, automatic climate control, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a center storage box with sliding armrest, navigation, heated front seats, a power sunroof, and so much more!
Each Venue model is powered by the same engine in the 2021 model year. Lifting up the hood reveals a 1.6-liter Smartstream 4-cylinder engine that is capable of kicking out 121 horsepower and 113 pound-feet of torque. Hyundai pairs this engine to a continuously variable automatic transmission no matter the trim level. All power from the engine is sent through the transmission to power the front wheels thanks to the standard FWD configuration.
Safety features are found in every 2021 Venue model. In fact, each model is outfitted with the Hyundai SmartSense suite of safety features which includes Lane Keeping Assist, Blind-Spot Collision Warning, Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with Pedestrian Detection, Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Warning, and Blind-Spot Collision Warning. Additional safety features include an anti-locking braking system, brake assist, advanced airbags installed throughout the cabin, the LATCH anchor system for child safety seats, and an electronic stability control system with a traction control system.
